Frequently Asked Questions

Ordering and Getting Started

Do I need a GP referral to order a blood test panel?

No. All Brandlistry Health panels can be ordered directly online. You do not need a GP referral.

How do I know which panel is right for me?

Take our two-minute health quiz or book a consultation with one of our pharmacists to discuss your symptoms before ordering.

Can I order on behalf of someone else or give a test as a gift?

Yes. Select the gift option at checkout and we will email the recipient their blood test kit instructions.

Testing and Results

Is a finger-prick test as accurate as a blood draw?

Yes. Our panels use Thriva’s ISO-accredited laboratory, using the same laboratory infrastructure used by NHS trusts and private hospitals.

Some panels, including the Annual MOT and Sickle Cell panels, require a venous blood draw, which we will arrange for you.

How long will it take to receive my results?

Results are typically available within 24 hours of your sample reaching the laboratory.

Your pharmacist interpretation report will usually follow within 48 hours.

What does the interpretation report include?

Your report includes a clear, plain-English explanation of every marker, what the results may mean for you and a practical action plan.

Each report is personally prepared by one of our GPhC-registered pharmacists.

Pharmacist and Clinical Services

Is Brandlistry a registered pharmacy?

Can Brandlistry prescribe medication?

No. We supply General Sales List medicines and Pharmacy-only medicines following a pharmacist review.

We do not issue prescriptions or dispense Prescription Only Medicines.

What happens if my results show something serious?

One of our pharmacists will clearly flag any concerning results in your report and direct you to the appropriate next step, such as your GP, urgent care or A&E.

Our service is designed to work alongside NHS care, not replace it.
